La dolce vita, or ‘the sweet life,’ is an Italian phrase often used to describe a luxurious way of living. Italians certainly appreciate visual presentation and beautiful details, which is evident in their food, architecture, and my personal favorite, the handcrafted clothing and accessories. This beautiful clutch from Brahmin’s new collection exudes the same attitude, so I thought it deserved an equally elegant background for photos. I decided to take it with me to some of the most picturesque places in Rome and my first stop was Palazzo Chigi, the impressive palace where Italy’s Prime Minister conducts official business.The moment I laid eyes on the oversized ‘Lily’ clutch from Brahmin, I was in love: I’ve always been a fan of snakeskin print and the soft, feminine colors in this pattern coordinate beautifully with neutral spring looks. To reflect the blush pink and gray elements of the snakeskin print, I wore a mix of pieces with the same hues.No afternoon spent in Rome is complete without a stop at one of the many bars around the city for a quick espresso or cappuccino (with a side of something sweet to nibble).
