One item I’ve really wanted to add to my wardrobe is an oversized gray coat, so I was thrilled to find this slouchy-chic style for half price at HOSS Intropia while Saldi shopping. I own a few sweaters that have some alpaca wool in them but this is the first pure alpaca coat I’ve ever had, and it is incredibly warm. It was a windy afternoon while zipping around the Vespa in this outfit and shockingly, I couldn’t feel a thing, despite the fact all I had on underneath was this tee. I was so amazed that I had to come home and do some research about the fabric. I learned that alpaca fibers are very strong with a hollow core, giving them incredible thermal properties while remaining lightweight. It’s also hypoallergenic, so people who are sensitive to other types of wool are usually not affected by alpaca. No wonder it’s coveted for cold weather fashion!

It’s been a really busy week, so I can’t wait for the weekend–especially date night tomorrow. We recently discovered a family-owned restaurant in our neighborhood and it has quickly become our weekend spot for dinner. Everything is homemade and their tiramisu is absolutely divine–the best I’ve eaten yet in Italy. We may also sneak in another road trip this weekend since my husband has an extra day off from work on Monday. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you so much for reading!
