Hey guys! We’re halfway through the week and I hope yours is going well! I’ve been taking Italian lessons twice a week for one-hour for the last two and a half months, and although I’m nowhere close to being fluent in the language, I now understand so much more when I read and listen to it, and find myself recalling more vocabulary and phrases every day. My favorite lessons are spent talking about culture, and since I was the only student in class today, my instructor had me bring another fashion magazine (Marie Claire Italia this time) and we just talked moda the entire hour. First, she had me write all of the fashion-related words I knew (mainly clothing and accessory-related), and then she taught me some new words related to fashion shows before checking out various Italian websites and applying what I learned to read the articles. I am hoping to attend at least a few fashion weeks in Milan while we are here, and lessons like these are giving me the information I need to be prepared for them!
I’ve been having a serious love affair with orange and blue outfit combinations lately, and this crossbody bag from Furla adds the perfect pop of color to my chambray suit–I guess you can tell I love this striped tank as well since it was also featured in yesterday’s blog post! I looked everywhere for a matching denim short suit I could link below, but unfortunately was only able to find a few similar denim blazers. Luckily, you can still make plenty of different outfits even if you only have a denim blazer; I’ve worn mine separately with white jeans, skirts, and many other shorts besides this matching pair.
- Chambray Blazer/Shorts (LOFT; new version; another similar blazer)
- Tank (ASOS; similar)
- Sunglasses (Chanel)
- Sneakers (Adidas–runs large; order full size down)
- Bag (Furla; other styles in same color here)
