I went shopping for flowers with my mom over the weekend to spruce up the pots on my front porch. The weather was absolutely gorgeous: 80 degrees and sunny skies with a light breeze. It’s a little early in the spring season to be that warm here, but I enjoyed every minute while it lasted. A bright floral skirt and light-colored wedges topped off with a floppy straw hat totally conjures the image of a garden party for me. This is a great outfit for any outdoor event when you need to be comfortable, yet want to look chic. I like wearing large hats in the spring and summer since my fair skin tends to burn easily. If I find myself at any wine festivals this spring, I know what I’ll be wearing!
