As much as I love the thrill of a new outfit, there’s something equally exciting about rediscovering old pieces in my wardrobe and being inspired to wear them again: in this case, my jacket and belt. I haven’t worn either piece for a pretty long time (probably a few years for the jacket!), but got the idea to put them together after seeing a similar belted jacket while browsing through a magazine. To give my ‘throwbacks’ a new feeling, I paired them with a pair of boyfriend jeans I recently purchased.
My jacket originally came with a matching tie belt, but I chose to swap it for this black leather style; I find wide waist belts to be the best for adding a little more drama to jackets and dresses.
Before I sign off, I also want to mention my recent discovery that all of the nice comments some of you left over the last few weeks have been going into my spam folder, which I did not realize until the other day! I started to wonder why I hadn’t heard from anyone lately, so my husband did a little research and discovered where they all went. That said, I apologize for not replying due to this technical glitch, but want all of you to know how much I appreciate reading your kind messages!
