Friday was a gloomy, rainy day and wearing this trench-like cape from H&M was a great way to stay warm and dry. I’m not exactly sure why, but capes and ponchos always lend a glamorous feel to even the most ordinary day. I like wearing heeled boots with them to avoid frumpy. If you’re petite, wearing heels with capes and ponchos is not only a leg-lengthening trick, it also helps keep your shape from getting overwhelmed by the roomy fit.
This Brahmin satchel was a Christmas gift from my parents this year. I really wanted a bag with leopard accent, and this fit the bill. It is unbelievably roomy with tons of pockets–there’s even one inside that’s velvet lined for jewelry! I especially love the outside pocket because the tassel is not only a lovely accent, but zips open and shut smoothly for easy access to my phone. Considering my leopard obsession, it’s amazing that I didn’t own an animal print bag until now!
