Hi everyone! Even though it’s mid-November and the fall foliage peaked here in Virginia about three weeks ago, I’m pleasantly surprised at how many trees still have pretty leaves hanging on. It’s been wonderful the past few days being able to enjoy the beautiful fall weather while visiting familiar places (and faces) in our hometown. I do miss our two kitties dearly who are back in Rome, but this trip home has definitely been good for the soul.
This chunky cardigan from H&M is now officially the coziest sweater in my closet. It contains 41% alpaca wool, making it warm enough to double as a jacket. I found pairing it with a short dress and over-the-knee boots was great for balancing out the oversized fit.
I absolutely love my black over-the-knee boots and have had my eye on the gray for a long time; after months of searching for a pair in my size, I finally snagged them from Zappos (they’re the best shoe source). Since we won’t be home for the holidays this year, we are celebrating with my parents while we’re here and my mom gave me this gorgeous gray Brahmin tote as an early gift–the perfect match for my boots!
I’m looking forward to the weekend because we will get to see lots of friends, as well as all their new babies which have been born since we moved to Italy. Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend as well and thank you so much for reading!
