Throughout the entire month of August, every area in Rome besides Centro has essentially been a ghost town because of Ferragosto–even Villa Ada, the very popular park where these photos were taken. On a typical weekend afternoon, it would be very difficult to stand in the middle of this path without having to look out for bikers, walkers, or runners! That said, the last couple of days I’ve started to notice the city slowly waking up from its vacation slumber: traffic is getting heavier, street parking is limited again, and stores/restaurants that have been closed for weeks are reopening their doors. I don’t dress in bohemian style very often, but this beautifully embroidered crop top from Single Dress begged to be worn with vintage high waist flares and a felt fedora. These jeans are still the best pair of flared denim I’ve come across, and I highly recommend trying them for yourself (just make sure to go down a size because they stretch a lot!)Colorblock bags are great when you want to pull in two colors from an outfit, and this black and tan crossbody did just that for my top–it also meshes well with other neutral-based patterns (especially my favorite: leopard!)
