It’s all about one of my favorite past-times for today’s post: shopping. Rome has some amazing vintage boutiques and finding some when we arrived was at the top of my list of things to do. On our second day here, I stumbled upon my first vintage shop, Il Baule Di Bedin Rosanna, and it’s already become one of my favorite spots in the city. I want to add classic statement pieces to my wardrobe while I have easy access to them in Europe, and you can often find incredible treasures for a fraction of their original prices in secondhand shops. This jacket immediately caught my eye when I walked in the store, and after I discovered it also fit like a glove, there was no question whether it would be going home with me. The bold structure in classic black and white, finished off with a beautiful leather belt (for which I’ve already found countless other uses), makes this jacket one I plan on having in my closet for many years. In addition to the jacket, I also found a gorgeous navy Escada cocktail dress and a vintage leopard print YSL scarf.

Via dei Condotti couldn’t have been a more fitting place for me to take my new beauty for its first spin. This famous road is known as the shopping mecca of Rome, and probably most of Europe. Chanel, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Prada…every popular luxury store is here. I could spend an entire day just wandering the streets and admiring all of the couture items, many of which I haven’t seen before because they are unique to Europe. Unfortunately, it’s also a huge tourist area that gets insanely busy, even more so because non-Italians receive a 14% refund on their purchases when they leave the country. That said, if you appreciate fashion and have the time and energy to spend making your way through the crowded streets, I think you’ll find it well worth your time!
