Up until a few years ago I typically wore only costume jewelry and would end up donating the majority of it when the material tarnished or it went out of style. While living in Jordan I started to invest in real jewelry since gold is popular and economically priced there. After moving back to the States I really didn’t consider buying any more gold jewelry because it just wasn’t affordable. But then I learned about AURATE’s sustainable gold jewelry.
Sustainable Gold Jewelry – What Does it Mean?
I learned about sustainable jewelry when I was introduced to AURATE last year. AURATE’s pieces are sourced from 100% recycled gold and made right in New York City. Not only is this brand enduring, but they don’t harm the environment or deplete natural resources during the jewelry-making process. What makes it even better is the fact that everything is made locally, which means there aren’t any high markups for consumers, so it’s a win-win for everyone!
My New Favorite Rings
When it comes to jewelry I mainly stick to classic gold pieces I’ll wear for years (and pass down to my daughter one day), which is another reason why I want others to know about AURATE. Most of their jewelry is wearable for every day and makes a statement without being over the top. These dainty gold rings are the latest addition to my jewelry collection and I have to say, I love them. I chose the thick stackable twist ring and a plain stackable band (both in 14K rose gold) to wear together. They’re very comfortable on my finger and I love how they look with the rose gold ring I was gifted by my husband when Lila was born (I’m already thinking about which ring I want to add to my stack next…) To be 100% honest, I was given credit to purchase this jewelry as part of the collaboration, but after seeing AURATE’s quality I spent my own money to purchase more pieces!Have you ever shopped sustainable jewelry or heard of AURATE? I’d love to know!
