For Memorial Day, I’m featuring a patriotic outfit of red, white, and blue. Barbecues, picnics, and pool or beach time are all fun ways to celebrate, but it’s important to remember the reason for this holiday: to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. On this day, I always think of my Pop-Pop: the late Major General Boyd M. Cook, Sr. He was an amazing, selfless man who served our country for most of his life.
I’m excited to have my hubby/photographer home. We upgraded our camera lens and he has already started taking wonderful photos for the blog. He got plenty of practice this weekend snapping shots of our cats and the gorgeous gardens at my parents’ house, too!
