Utility jackets are a year-round closet staple, and believe it or not, I’ve had the one I am wearing for almost five years now. An olive-colored utility jacket is one clothing item you can always expect to see offered from most retailers, especially during spring and fall. The military/utility trend has also made a big comeback for this spring so I’m definitely going to be bringing mine out more often.
In the past, I’ve usually played it safe and paired this jacket with brown accents. This is the first time I’ve worn my utility jacket with black and I love the edgy vibe it adds to my outfit—now I also want to try it with black jeans! A black denim skirt like one of these is another item I get year-round use from in my wardrobe. For fall, I’d pair it with a sweater and booties but now that spring is coming, I’ll be throwing on a tee and sandals.
