This outfit may appear to be light on the outside, but I was quite cozy underneath thanks to a few layers (good thing, because these were taken during a cold drizzly rain!) I started with a light flannel shirt, added a chunky knit sweater vest, and topped both off with a thin utility jacket. This layered look was completed with dark denim skinny jeans and my absolute favorite riding boots (again, thanks to Frye!) I’ve had this pair almost three years now, and the leather has only gotten better with age. Tip: if you take your boots to a cobbler, he/she can inexpensively add rubber soles to make them not only last longer, but absorb more shock when wearing. The cobbler I go to in my hometown only charges about $15 per pair, so of course I’ve had this done for nearly all of mine!
