Switching gears today from fall-ready items in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale to this summery look I wore in Sicily the other week. I love shopping at the Intropia boutique in Rome because they carry some of the most unique pieces you won’t find anywhere else, like this striped dress. Intropia is based in Spain and most stores are currently in Europe, but there are small sections dedicated to the brand in select U.S. stores (Revolve being one of them). I spotted this dress back in the spring during the preview party for their new collection (see the post here) and made sure to buy it as soon as it went on sale. I actually ended up saving it especially for our trip to Sicily because it seemed so fitting for a seaside vacation! It was a very hot day, so thankfully the linen-type cotton fabric kept me cool while we walked all over the historic city of Siracusa.Like many Italian villages, Siracusa is steeped in history. We enjoyed wandering the tiny streets and admiring all of the old charm. The best part about this dress is that the top is cape-like and can be tied in multiple ways for different looks—I saw this side knot demonstrated on one of the mannequins in the store and recreated it for myself. No Italian vacation is complete without a spotting a few kitties!Tan accessories completed my outfit and helped ground the striped pattern of the dress.I hope all of you are having a great start to the new week!
