If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know my love for denim runs deep. From wide leg to baggy and cargo/utility styles, there are plenty of denim trends to choose from for fall 2023. Personally, I’ve been drawn to wide leg, slim-straight and dark wash styles lately. Here are a few of my new favorites along with fit and sizing info.
Frame ‘Le Palazzo Crop’ wide leg jean (TTS; wearing 25)
I bought these jeans during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale back in July and have been wearing them once a week ever since. The fit is incredibly flattering and they have lots of stretch so the comfort is amazing. Typically, when we hear the word ‘stretch’ we envision denim that bags and sags after a few wears and I’m here to confirm that WILL NOT happen with this jean. The stretch recovery is amazing and they remain form-fitting no matter how long you wear them. I love this style so much I immediately bought this color next (perfect for wearing from summer into fall and currently on sale!)
AGOLDE ‘Harper’ wide leg jean (TTS; wearing 25)
As soon as I saw this new style debut from my one of my favorite denim brands, I had to try them. They have a tiny bit of stretch (99% cotton 1% elastane) but it’s just enough to make them comfy while still holding their shape. The waist is mid rise and cut straight across for a flattering fit. They have a subtle wide leg and on my 5’4″ frame, the length is just right for a low heel. The Harper jean is one of those classic styles you’ll keep forever – I’ll definitely be on the lookout for new colors to add to my denim collection.
H&M wide high jeans (Runs small; wearing 4)
On a budget this season but looking for a denim refresh? This wide leg style from H&M is the perfect pair and under $30! I can’t believe how good this fit is for the price point. The waist is super high and they’re made from 100% cotton that feels so lightweight and soft while wearing. I have several colors now and would definitely repurchase – don’t sleep on this pair (but make sure to size up).
Levi’s ribcage full length jean (TTS; wearing 25)
If you’re looking for a ‘snatched’ denim fit, this is your style. As the name suggests, the waist is extremely high and very fitted through the hips, making this denim very flattering. For context, my husband complimented me as soon as I put on this pair! The leg is straight and narrow, making it perfect for booties with a slim shaft.
AGOLDE 90’s crop jean (Runs slightly large; wearing 25)
This baggy jean from AGOLDE is what I call a ‘cool girl’ style. It has a slouchy, relaxed fit that sits slightly below the waist if you take your true size (if you prefer a higher, tighter fit, then I suggest to size down). This is the perfect weekend jean or just a good pair to throw on when you want to feel comfortable while looking effortlessly stylish.
