I’m back from our Florida vacation and have been spending the last few days playing catch-up on laundry, unpacking everything and getting settled back into our usual routines. We had a wonderful time but the weather was quite bipolar, so I’ll be sharing some packing tips at the end of this post if you ever plan on vacationing there during the spring! Here are some of the outfits I wore during the trip (click on any product image to shop). For more summer outfit ideas, check out this collection of vacation-ready pieces to get inspired.

This classic striped tee has been on heavy rotation lately and I wore it several times in Florida on the chillier days we had. Pairing it with a straw hat, denim cutoffs and sandals creates a classic summer look, while a silk scarf adds an elegant touch for lunch or dinner out.

Wearing the same striped tee as shown above but I layered my favorite denim jacket over top for a chilly walk on the beach.

I’m happy to report that everything I ordered for the beach from Amazon was great. I wore this sun visor every day and the oversized brim was perfect for blocking the sun on my face and chest, plus the velcro closure helped it stay put even with high wind.

I love a good oversized button down shirt and this one from H&M is a winner at under $30! I tucked it into my cutoffs and wore slide sandals for a comfy-chic outfit.

When it comes to timeless summer style, nothing beats a classic tee like this paired with denim shorts. The paperbag waist style of these shorts adds a playful twist.

What to Pack for Spring in Florida
Layers – The name of the game is layers when it comes to visiting Florida during the spring season! We had days that were cool, rainy and summer-like while we were there, so I definitely used the layers I brought. I recommend packing a denim jacket and/or blazer, sweatshirts and a few button-down shirts to add to your outfits for fluctuating temps.
Hats – Hats are the perfect finishing touch for any look, from casual to chic (and in my case, they hid the havoc that humidity wreaks on my hair texture). I brought a baseball cap and a few wide brim straw hats, plus my sun visor for sitting on the beach.
Jeans, Leggings & Shorts – With inconsistent spring weather, you’ll definitely want to have a variety of pants for your trip: leggings and jeans for cooler days and shorts for warmer temps.
Rain jacket & umbrella – I think this one is pretty obvious but make sure to be prepared for rainy weather, which is inevitable in Florida year-round, not just during spring.
Sneakers – As much as I would have loved to only wear sandals the entire vacation, it was smart to bring some sneakers along as well for cooler/wet weather, plus they came in handy for walking to shops and restaurants.
