I shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this morning and am so excited to share my purchases with you! As a reminder, the sale opened to Ambassador members today, Icon members can shop beginning Friday 7/16, and the sale opens to the public on Wednesday, July 28th.
All Saints ruana – I mentioned this as one of my top picks from the sale preview and I purchased it as soon as the sale opened. I love the textured detail and camel color for fall. It also offers plenty of versatility: wear this with anything from denim to leggings or dresses, then dress it up with heels or go casual with sneakers.
Nordstrom cashmere-blend poncho – This wasn’t at the top of my initial wish list but the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much use I could get from a classic black poncho. It’s styled in a more elegant way on the Nordstrom site but you could definitely wear this with leggings or distressed denim (which I plan to do!) It’s a cashmere blend and under $100 during the sale.
French Connection sweater dress – When I spotted this sweater dress, I knew it would be a closet staple I’d wear for years. For that reason, I actually grabbed both the black and camel. Since it’s a bodycon style, I plan on layering this with jackets and blazers, but you can also wear it now with sandals or flats. It’s on sale under $60 and the reviews say the fabric is soft and high quality.
Caslon water-resistant bootie – Lug sole boots are trending in a major way for fall—in fact, that’s the most prevalent boot style I noticed in the sale this year. I needed a pair of waterproof boots for fall and winter and this pair is under $60 during the sale with great reviews on style and comfort.
Stuart Weitzman buckle bootie – These boots were my splurge item from the sale. I love how they have a lug sole but it’s slim and refined so you can dress them up or down. I’m envisioning these with sweater dress and boyfriend jeans.
Anastasia Beverly Hills brow duo – This is my go-to eyebrow pencil and the sale set includes two pencils and a setting gel for nearly the price of one pencil, so it was an easy purchase for me.
Classic Closet Staples
I use the Nordstrom sale as an opportunity to purchase pieces I know I’ll get lots of wear from for years, not just one season. I spent a lot of time combing through the sale and the items below are ones I recommend as being classic closet staples. The best part is that you can mix and match all of these pieces for so many different looks that you’ll never get bored! I’ve personally found that having good quality basics makes it a lot easier to get dressed each day.
