The Reveal
We wrapped a gift for Lila to reveal the baby’s gender—can you tell she was getting impatient waiting to open it?!
I think she thought the pjs were for her to wear but we got a smile nonetheless!
My Feelings
Admittedly, I was completely shocked when we found out our baby is a girl. Pretty much all of our friends and family thought it was a boy and my entire family has one girl and boy each, so I always imagined myself as a mother of both. While I didn’t have a strong feeling either way about what the baby’s gender was, I guess I subconsciously assumed this baby was a boy. Now that I’ve had some time to process and let the news sink in, I’m getting very excited about becoming a girl momma. More than anything, I can’t wait to watch the sister bond develop between my girls, something I’ve never experienced myself. 
Lila as a Big Sister
She’s still a little too young to fully understand what’s going on, but Lila regularly talks about the baby in Mommy’s tummy and gives my belly kisses every night. She’s going to be the best big sister!
