If you struggle to shop for the outdoorsy man in your life, this is the gift guide for you (but any guy would love them!) My husband hand-picked every gift idea for this post, most of which he already owns and highly recommends. From powerful flashlights to high-tech gadgets, all of these gifts are practical, innovative and guaranteed to impress a man who’s hard to shop for!
Knife & Tool Sharpener – Sharpen ANYTHING from kitchen knives to tools with professional results.
Dual Fuel Tactical Flashlight – My husband loves this flashlight because it’s lightweight, super bright, and can be used with multiple types of batteries (AA or CR123 lithium).
Dickies Dri-Tech Moisture Control socks – These soft, breathable socks hold up well for guys who spend a lot of time outside working, hiking, etc. Side note: these are the only socks that don’t get holes easily and my husband ends up throwing out within a few weeks!
Gorilla super glue gel – What can’t be fixed with gorilla glue? This is always a great stocking stuffer idea!
Bose noise-cancelling headphones – I got these as a Christmas gift for my husband last year and he wears them for everything from conference calls to listening to music while he’s on the tractor. He says they have a great battery life, microphone and sound quality, plus they feel comfortable for long periods of time.
DeWalt Jobsite LED Spotlight – In the words of my husband, “Awesome power and a must if you go anywhere outdoors at night. Also has a red LED light function.” **Battery must be purchased separately and can be found here.
Garmin Foretrex GPS – This is a wrist-mounted GPS that’s worn like a watch. It’s durable, military-grade and perfect for the adventurer in your life (use it hiking, hunting, for tactical work, etc.)
L.L. Bean strap vest – I bought a vest similar to this last year for my husband and he says it’s an absolute must for any hunter. It allows for plenty of range of motion while carrying a firearm and has pivoting straps which can be adjusted for comfort. Well-placed pockets and zippered storage compartments hold a full day’s gear (and as my husband pointed out, the hunting snacks!)
