Last week my husband had to go into the city for a few meetings so we turned it into a date night and I went along while Lila stayed with my parents. We went to an Italian restaurant for dinner and after we strolled along the Key Bridge, which connects Virginia with Washington, D.C. Funny story about the Key Bridge: my husband originally planned to propose to me there (he was living in Arlington, VA at the time so I was visiting often) and he told me he was going to pretend to drop the engagement ring over the side of the bridge as a joke! I told him that was a terrible idea because it would have given me a heart attack! Luckily, his actual proposal was a whole lot calmer, ha.
I don’t get many opportunities to wear dresses these days so I was excited for the excuse to wear this puff sleeve number from Chicwish. I added a leather belt for an edgy twist and plan to wear this again with a moto jacket and boots once it cools down.
