For me, summer dressing is all about finding pieces that are chic and comfortable for the heat—basically, that means anything linen. It’s the breeziest, most breathable fabric for summer clothing. Sharing a few of my favorite affordable linen finds on today’s post, plus some outfit inspiration for how to wear them (just remember to embrace the wrinkles—they’re inevitable!)
Striped linen camisole – Nothing says summer quite like a striped top. Wear this camisole with anything from denim shorts to something like a pair of wide leg pants or paperbag shorts featured in this post. I styled a similar striped linen top with denim shorts a few years ago (proof that a striped top is timeless).
Linen tee – I’ve purchased just about every linen tee and tank H&M has offered this season because they’re super affordable (under $15 each) and can be worn so many different ways. The fabric is very sheer and breathable, making it the perfect summer tee.
Wide leg pants – You can’t go wrong with a classic pair of cropped linen pants—pair one with a camisole as shown here for an easy, chic summer outfit.
Belted shorts – I can’t get enough of the paperbag waist trend: the extreme high rise makes your waist look tiny! Wear a pair of neutral linen shorts with a tank and a straw hat as shown for a summer look that can take you anywhere (even if that means just hanging out at home).
Tank dress – It doesn’t get any cooler for summer than a tank dress, especially one like this made of lightweight linen. You can easily add a denim jacket or button down shirt for chilly summer nights like I did with this tank dress.
