Happy Friday, friends! This weekend will probably be pretty low-key since my hubby is in NYC for work. I have to admit I’m slightly (ok, majorly) jealous that I’m not there. I thought about taking Lila but knowing my husband has to work most of the time and it would be tough navigating the city alone with an almost-toddler who has unpredictable moods ultimately changed my mind. Hoping next time I can make it because I’ve only been there a handful of times and would love to go back.
I’ve been loving the Richard Allan x H&M collection that was launched recently and this mini dress is one of the pieces. Last week I posted this midi skirt from the collection and I have one more matching skirt set to feature on the blog next week. 
Since this dress has a voluminous shape, my best tip to keep it from overwhelming your figure is to wear it with a pair of sleek shoes, like these sock boots or an over-the-knee style. A wide cut like this may not be the most flattering silhouette, but I can guarantee it’s great for hiding a food baby after a dinner date, ha! It’s also so comfortable and cool for those hot days in between summer and fall.
