Happy Monday—maybe?! If you feel like me, the weekend went by way too fast! Lila and I spent all Saturday yard-sale shopping and then I spent Sunday re-decorating our home for fall, so now I could use a day to relax. Every year, the area where I live holds a ‘Yard Crawl’ which is 44 miles of yard sales along the same road and it’s crazy! A lot of people dislike it because traffic gets pretty bad, but personally I love hunting for treasures and have missed going the past few years since we were living overseas. This time around, I found several pieces of antique wood furniture and spent less than $65 total, so I’ll call that a success. How gorgeous is this maxi skirt, ya’ll?! It might seem like this skirt would be hard to style different ways, but it’s actually pretty versatile. If you need more inspo, my friend Shannon from Upbeat Soles wore hers with an edgy band tee and slide sandals and the lovely Amy from Straight A Style paired it with a feminine soft pink henley tee. I dressed mine up for this look with a cropped faux leather jacket and stiletto sandals, and can definitely see myself wearing this again with a turtleneck under the leather jacket and a chic pair of black booties. If you’re looking for a great transitional shoe that isn’t a boot, barely-there sandals like the ones I’m wearing will complement basically any outfit. Since they’re sleek and minimal, they’re perfect for a statement skirt like this one. Here’s hoping we all have a wonderful week and as always, thank you so much for reading!
