This summery look is coming to you from the streets of Los Angeles! We shot this look on our trip there a few weeks ago for my brother’s wedding. He lives in Los Feliz, which is just outside the Hollywood Hills. We got pretty familiar with the area during the four days we spent there since we mostly explored on foot. I have the scars to prove, it, too—I got blisters so bad they’re still healing! I actually had to buy a pair of sneakers because I could barely walk in my sandals. I don’t know what I was thinking not bringing any with me for the trip but I definitely paid for it.
This striped maxi dress was the perfect option for one of the hot days we had in L.A. since it’s made of a fabric similar to linen. It came with a matching fabric belt but I swapped it for this statement style. I’ve gotten so much use from this belt (to the point where I try not to wear it on the blog too often!) It really transforms the look of any dress and I also love wearing it with high waist skirts.
