Hi everyone! Sorry I missed my Monday post, but we were in California to celebrate my older brother’s wedding. I’ve probably mentioned him on the blog before, but in case you didn’t know, I have an older brother who lives in Los Angeles. He’s been living in California since 2005 and we only get to see him a few times a year (less than that since we’ve been living overseas). Anyway, he and my sister-in-law got married a few weeks ago and they had a party at their home for family and close friends last weekend, so we flew out there along with my parents. This was also special because it was the first time Lila got to meet her uncle! She was a great traveler, even though her nap schedule was a bit off and she stayed up way past her bedtime a few nights.
This lace dress was a strong contender to wear to my brother’s wedding party but it was probably too bridal-looking so I ended up choosing something else with a little more color. Isn’t it gorgeous, though?! This is the type of dress that could work for any situation: a party, date night, or even casual events (I’ve dressed it down with a denim jacket). It’s also one you can wear year-round—I could easily picture this with a leather jacket for a completely different look.
I like how the material is sheer at the bottom so you can really see the lace pattern.
