I’m beginning to realize the things I get excited about lately are pretty simple (and maybe even boring to some!) like sitting under a shade tree with a cold drink or taking Lila outside to watch the cows grazing in the fields. We just started planting a veggie garden so now I’m pretty pumped about the idea of picking my own produce from the backyard. Luckily, there was a pretty large pre-existing bed for a garden when we moved in so we didn’t have to start from scratch. I hardly know anything about growing veggies here’s hoping we’ll have something to harvest this summer!I’m all about skirts lately and this ruffled maxi is so fun for summer—it’s hard to keep from twirling with these pretty tiered layers! The skirt speaks for itself so you don’t need much to have an outfit that makes a statement: a basic tank and sandals will do the trick (and a straw hat is a cute extra accessory!) This is the type of outfit I would wear on a summer afternoon at a winery or an al fresco lunch with friends.
If it’s cooler out, you could also throw a denim jacket over this tank to add more interest, or even a leather moto jacket for a little edge. This is my last post for the week, so I hope all of you have an amazing Memorial Day weekend—yay for the unofficial start of summer!
