Happy Tuesday, friends! In honor of Lila’s birthday, I spent a good bit of yesterday morning baking my first three layer homemade funfetti cake. Five sticks of butter and countless cups of sugar later, fingers crossed it tastes as good as it looks. Her birthday isn’t officially till Friday but I’m hosting a little December birthday celebration today for our weekly play group since four of the babies have their first birthdays this month and that calls for some yummy cake! I’ll be saving a big piece for Lila to do a cake smash this weekend so we can take photos.
What’s more ‘holiday’ than plaid, or even better, a plaid scarf? This one was such a good find from H&M at only $12.99! Sadly, it sold out before I could post this look, but I did find a couple similar options under $20 and I linked those in my outfit details. To keep plaid looking more sophisticated than cutesy, just add a dash of black to your outfit. Not only does this give the scarf an edgier vibe, but the colors in the plaid pattern will stand out even more.
