Finding Your Perfect Pair of Levi’s: A Fit Guide

September 18, 2018

How to Find Your Perfect Pair of Levi’s

When I first started shopping for Levi’s jeans, I had a pretty difficult time trying to figure out what size and styles would fit me best since the brand tends to have pretty mixed customer reviews when it comes to sizing.  I’ve really built up my collection over the past few years, though, so I feel like I’m enough of an ‘expert’ now to give you guys some tips! Hope you enjoy this post and let me know in the comments if you have any questions or tell me your favorite Levi’s style!

Wedgie Straight

The Wedgie Straight fit jean was the first style I ever purchased from Levi’s. I really love the Wedgie Straight because it’s more cropped, which is perfect for my height, and they look amazing with booties. This style can be a bit tricky though because it runs larger or smaller depending on the color of the wash. If it’s lighter, I suggest sizing up; for dark washes I’ll take my regular size (I’m wearing both a 25 and 26 in these photos).

Wedgie Icon

The Wedgie Icon jean has a semi-high waist silhouette with a skinny, tapered leg. It’s a little longer than the Wedgie Straight (typically 27.5 inch inseam) but looks amazing with loafers and mules. I think it has the most classic ‘Levi’s vintage look of all their styles. I currently have my eye on this pair for fall!

Wedgie Skinny

If you’ve been looking for the most flattering, high waist skinny jeans ever, you need the Wedgie Skinny. I discovered this style a few months ago and immediately bought every color I could get my hands on. This jean hugs your curves in all the right places, with an ankle length that’s perfect with any type of shoe. I’m all about high-rise jeans now, especially since having Lila, and this one has the highest at 11 inches. And the best part? They’re also the most inexpensive jeans I own at under $75. I only wish Levi’s would start offering more colors!

501 Cropped

The 501 cropped jean has a semi-high rise with a classic skinny silhouette that’s a little looser in the leg than the Wedgie styles. It’s so comfortable to wear and looks great with flats, mules, and pumps. I bought the pair I’m wearing here during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and it’s unfortunately sold out since then, but there are a lot more washes to choose from below.
