Happy Thursday! I’m really excited for the weekend to begin because tomorrow we’re going to a 4th of July celebration and on Saturday will be a very special ceremony for Lila. We’re having her baptized at THE baptism site where Jesus was baptized, located south of Amman near the Dead Sea. This is something my husband and I knew we wanted to do before we left Jordan, so we just decided to go for it now. It’s totally last-minute because we started planning it exactly one week ago, but the priest we spoke to happened to be available to perform the ceremony and our friend is letting us borrow her daughter’s Christening gown, so it all fell into place. I hope to share photos on the blog next week—I put Lila in the gown to see how it fit and she looks so precious I can hardly stand it!
