As you’ve probably noticed from most of my blog posts, the majority of the clothing I wear is pretty inexpensive, while I like higher-end accessories. This typically includes shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and most recently, jewelry (more on that later). I don’t wear all of the clothing I own as much as I do my accessories, so cost per wear, they’re always a better investment for my wardrobe.Think about the last time you saw an amazing outfit on Pinterest that really inspired you. Was it her basic white tee that caught your eye or the beautiful handbag she was carrying/killer pair of shoes on her feet? I’m going to assume it was the accessories that initially caught your attention (like they say, it’s all about the details!) Why spend $100 on a tee shirt when you can get a similar one for less than $20 and put the money you save towards your dream bag or shoes? For example, the sleeveless blouse I’m wearing here is less than $15. It’s a great basic to have, but I don’t feel it’s necessary to spend much more on this type of top. My favorite place to shop for inexpensive, on-trend clothing is H&M.

- chic sunglasses
- statement jewelry
- timeless handbag
I never considered myself a ‘jewelry person’ until we moved to Amman. However, once I shopped around in a few of the many jewelry stores around the city, I was hooked. The pieces sold in Jordan are so unique and gold is also less expensive, so I’ve started collecting pieces here and there. I’d been on the hunt for a snake ring and when I saw this, I knew it was the one—plus it’s a great statement piece to dress up minimal outfits.Who else prefers to invest in their accessories over clothing?
