Hello from Virginia! After a long journey home made it back home to the States on Friday afternoon and it’s taken me awhile to get over the jet lag. In the past, I’ve always adjusted to the time change pretty quickly but it’s totally different when you have a baby. Poor Lila took a full three days till she started sleeping normally again (which meant two equally tired parents!) Despite our exhaustion, we’ve been having so much fun being home again. You never know how much the little things mean until you’ve lived away for a long time. Even something as simple as a family trip to Costco like we did the other day is such a treat.
In celebration of Memorial Day this weekend, I thought it would be fun to do a quick mother/daughter photo shoot with Lila in our summer dresses. We ended up enlisting my dad to stand to the side and make funny faces at her to get a few smiles—thanks, Pop-Pop!
I’m obsessed with this little neck scarf and actually love how it looks as a head wrap. The best part is that it’s only $12 and comes in lots of color options—thinking I may need to pick up another one.
Wishing everyone a wonderful long holiday weekend! Thanks so much for visiting today!
