Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow mommas out there! Even though Lila is five months old, it still feels surreal for me to be celebrating this holiday. Last year on Mother’s Day I called my parents to tell them they were becoming grandparents, which was pretty special. My husband and I were just looking at the first sonogram photo we ever had that’s still hanging on our fridge and saying how we can’t believe so much time has already passed!
Since Sunday is a weekday here in Jordan, we celebrated Mother’s Day on Saturday. We started with some delicious mimosas and pancakes, then I went to get a pedicure while my hubby watched Lila. He also spoiled me with some beautiful new earrings and Lila was on her very best behavior yesterday, so all told it was a wonderful first Mother’s Day!
When I realized Lila and I both had white eyelet dresses, I knew we had to do a ‘Mommy and Me’ photo shoot. As you can probably imagine, it’s extremely difficult to get an infant to pose for photos, but we did our best—and it was worth it to get these images of Lila in her little sunhat—dying from cuteness overload over here!
