On our way to Ma’In Hot Springs the other weekend, we decided to stop along the Dead Sea Highway for an impromptu photo shoot. It gets crazy hot down there during the summer so now is the perfect time to enjoy the weather.
Stripes and a straw hat are always quintessential summer pieces in my wardrobe and a tee with denim is an easy go-to combination for me. My new Brahmin backpack was the perfect accessory to add to the casual vibe of this look and I love how the neutral tan color coordinates with any outfit.
On another note, this post is a great example of how what you see online or on social media isn’t always as perfect as it seems. From these photos it looks I am carefree and enjoying myself, but in reality Lila was screaming her head off in the background. She started fussing while we were walking down to the water and by the time we were through, she was basically wailing. My poor hubby was wearing her in the baby carrier and juggling her while scrambling to snap some photos, so considering how fast this shoot was, I’m actually shocked we got some decent shots! I just wanted to mention this because we all fall victim to the comparison game sometimes and I know I have to constantly remind myself that things aren’t always what they appear to be—we all have our ‘real life’ moments!
Aren’t these salt crystal formations incredible? I could look at them all day (if I didn’t burn up in the sun during the process, ha!)
