Why Paperbag Waist Pants Are So Flattering

March 14, 2018

Someone pass the coffee, please—this momma is running on fumes today! I didn’t get much sleep because last night was a big transition for us. After sleeping in a bassinet in our bedroom since she was born, we just moved Lila to the crib in her own room. While she did really well considering it was her first night, I was the one who kept waking up at the slightest sound from our baby monitor. I’ve been reading up on ‘sleep training’ and how to try to eliminate her nighttime feed since she’s still in the habit of waking around 3:00 A.M. to eat. It’s so hard to judge if she’s crying because of true hunger or if it’s just her body clock that’s used to waking up. I’m trying to be patient and take things day by day but it’s definitely tough trying to figure everything out. Any other mommas out there know the struggle? PLEASE comment if you have any tips or suggestions because I’d love to know what has worked for others!

So, moving on from baby talk to why I love paperbag waist pants! This style has always been a favorite of mine and I’m excited to see they’re still on trend. Whether they’re pants, shorts or a skirt, the super high rise on paperbag bottoms has a magical way of making anyone’s waist look tiny while the tie belt adds a stylish touch. I wore this pair with a bodysuit tee and they made a perfect match together. Once it gets warmer, I plan on wearing them again sans the jacket so you can really see the waist detail.

Hope you’re all having a great week—mommas, don’t forget to leave me any tips you may have on sleep training!
