Dressing up a basic tee-and-jeans combo is one of my favorite go-to combinations: it’s easy to put together and always sophisticated when you add a few elegant accessories. It’s no secret that I love silk scarves, and this is another one I inherited from my husband’s grandmother. I love how they add a chic accent to any outfit and the orange color of this one complemented my olive tee. Vintage designer pieces like this don’t have to break the bank, either. I linked to a page in my outfit details with lots of different options for vintage Ferragamo scarves, many of which are under $100 and in fantastic condition (I actually have my eye on a few of them!)I own too many tee shirts to count, but had to add this one to my collection. I like how the drapey fabric gives it a dressier feel, plus it’s longer in the back. The fit is very generous, so I don’t recommend sizing up (for reference, I am wearing an XS).
These jeans are a recent purchase from Nordstrom Rack and have quickly become one of my favorite pairs thanks to the flattering fit and classic dark wash. The length is cropped, which is more like the perfect ankle length if you’re petite (I usually still have to cuff my ankle jeans). They’re under $90 and currently available in all sizes—talk about an incredible deal for AG Jeans! I never pay full price for my designer denim, and in case you missed it, I offered some tips on how to find the best deals in this post.My beloved beige sandals and handbag completed the look—neutrals are always a wise investment because they will pull together any outfit!
