I know many people have mixed feelings about culottes, but personally, I can’t get enough of them. As soon as I saw this knit style from Nordstrom, I immediately snapped them up. I told my husband I didn’t care if I looked ridiculous or not because these are just too darn comfy not to wear (they literally feel like pajama pants!) Pairing them with a denim vest and black bandana scarf took my outfit to an edgier level, so we headed to a skate park area in Rome for photos.
The key to finding your most flattering pair of culottes/cropped pants is all about the fit: for me, a high waist makes all the difference since I’m on the petite side. Normally I wear them with heels for an elongated silhouette, but I changed it up this time with sneakers since I was aiming for a casual look. I also ordered this pair in a heavier knit to wear with booties when fall rolls around.
The addition of a bandana may be small, but I believe it’s what makes this look really stand out.
