Hey friends! We’re halfway through the week and one day closer to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (can you tell I’m excited?) It starts tomorrow, so I spent some time this morning finalizing my wish list—bring on the deals! In case you missed yesterday’s post, I shared all the insider shopping tips, plus a few sneak peeks.
We leave super early tomorrow for Sicily and I am so ready for some relaxation and getaway time with the hubby. As always, my only problem is deciding what to pack: shoes are the biggest struggle for me and I always want to bring way too many. My husband asked me if I was checking a bag for the trip (umm…?!) As much as I would love to be a light packer, I don’t think I’ll ever manage to fit everything I need in a carry-on bag for more than two days—I’m the girl you’ll see with a huge purse, carry-on, and giant suitcase rolling through the airport. 
Stripes and a pop of red add a little nautical feel to my outfit. Before this post, I was a little hesitant to try the bodysuit trend, but it’s definitely grown on me. The style looks flattering with high-rise bottoms and there’s no need to worry about your shirt staying tucked in. Plus, this one was surprisingly comfortable (and only $35!)
I couldn’t resist ordering more cropped pants from Ann Taylor during one of their recent sales, and this lightweight pair is perfect for hot days. The only downside is that the fabric wrinkles pretty easily, but nothing an occasional trip to the dry cleaner can’t fix. The tan color can easily transition into fall as well.
Speaking of Sicily, while we were out taking photos, we swung by this new spot in our neighborhood featuring Sicilian wine and desserts.
A entire bar of cannoli to choose from? Yes, please! I wanted to try one of each, but restrained myself for our first visit.
We ended up sharing a chocolate/coffee blend granita and one plain cannolo—both of which were delicious! It’s safe to say there’s a good possibility we could will become regulars here.
