Hi everyone, and I hope all of you enjoyed the weekend! They always fly by as usual, right? My husband was working for most of it, but thankfully we were able to squeeze in a dinner date on Saturday at our favorite pizzeria in Rome: Al Forna della Soffitta. They serve lots of different Neapolitan-style pizzas, and if you’ve ever been to Naples, you already know that’s where to find the best in Italy. Each pie is topped with fresh ingredients and baked in a wood-fire oven for just a few minutes, resulting in a soft and chewy crust that’s to-die-for. I don’t know what makes Neapolitan pizza so amazing, but because this particular restaurant gets their ingredients directly from Naples, it’s the most authentic we’ve found in Rome.Since this was a casual dinner out, I went with a low-key look. A white top and jeans is a no-fail combo I return to again and again, this time with a ruffled off the shoulder blouse and high waist denim. These cropped raw-hem jeans were a recent purchase from the denim selection at Nordstrom Rack, and have unfortunately sold out, but I did find two other similar pairs from 7 For All Mankind on sale as well, so be sure to check the links in my outfit details! My dinner choice: cacio e pepe, a Roman specialty made with Pecorino-Romano cheese and pepper (the black spots on mine are truffle shavings!) You’ll typically find it in the form of pasta, but I think I may like it even more as a pizza topping. Here’s hoping all of you have a wonderful week, and thank you so much for reading!
