After looking through my summer wardrobe, I’ve come to the realization I might (okay, definitely) have an obsession with stripes. But when I spotted this cute little bandana scarf while shopping at Zara recently, I just couldn’t help but feed my addiction again. I justified the purchase because I didn’t already have a striped bandana scarf and it was only €6 ($10 if you purchase in the U.S.).A classic white button-down will always be timeless, but I like how this tunic length makes it feel more modern. Paired with denim, it’s also the perfect canvas for standout accessories like a scarf or a killer pair of heels.Crop flare jeans and mule wedges are a match made in retro heaven, and I highly recommend both pairs I am wearing. This distressed kick crop style from Blank NYC is the best-fitting pair of denim I’ve found for under $100, in a light hue that’s ideal for summer. My wedges are ridiculously comfortable: I wore them all over Rome one afternoon and my feet were totally fine at the end of the day (plus you can never go wrong with the color nude). Now that it’s hot outside and my hair is up more often than not, I’ve been trying to perfect my top knot, but these photos clearly indicate I need more practice! I’ve watched a couple YouTube video tutorials, but for some reason mine just never turn out the same—either the ‘knot’ portion ends up looking more full than I want it to be or it just turns out a little lopsided. I’m also not lucky enough to have perfectly smooth hair when I put mine up: there are always little flyaways I have to tame. If any of you have tips or links to good tutorials that you’d be willing to share, I’d be so grateful!
