When summer rolls around, I tend to get a little–ok, very–obsessed with anything striped: T-shirts, dresses, pants, doesn’t matter—I like it all (I even recently found the cutest striped necktie scarf!) To me, blue and white stripes are the quintessential pattern of summer and always will be. I’ve been looking for a shirt dress version for awhile, so as soon as I came across this style, it was a no-brainer.So, here’s a funny story…when I put on this dress and headed out in the living room to tell my husband I was ready to go, he looked at me and said, “Are you going to put on pants?” I had to explain what a shirt dress is and go online to show him the product details for proof, ha! The sides do go up a little high on the side, but it’s definitely long enough to be a dress—however, if you want to wear it as a shirt, that would also definitely work (especially if you are taller).Since the dress makes a pretty bold statement on its own, I finished the look with minimal white accessories. For additional styling ideas, I think blue and white stripes are also great with tan/cognac details or even a pop of bright red (Fourth of July outfit inspo, perhaps?) Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for reading!
