After having visited the Amalfi Coast, I now understand all the hype and why there have been countless fashion and beauty collections named after the area: it truly is a magical place, and one I can’t wait to visit again. The thing which interested my husband the most was that he could go fishing while we were there, so we compromised by stopping to take blog photos on the way down to the dock!
There’s something so carefree and summery about off-the-shoulder tops and dresses, and I’m really glad the style is back for another season. I wore my black ruffled top with wide leg pants, which gave the illusion of a jumpsuit. A classic pair of wide leg pants is a staple for any season and I wear mine all year (see how I styled the same pair for fall and winter).
Bold accessories in the form of a striped clutch and straw boater hat livened up this monochromatic black palette and gave my outfit a vacay vibe.
We made it to Positano for dinner right before sunset and just in time to get this photo of the incredible view of town from above. We made our way to the restaurant on the water where we had a reservation at Chez Black, a well-known place that had really high ratings from other tourists. We sat down, looked at the menu with outrageous prices and typical Italian fare, then my husband said, “Do you want to leave and go somewhere else?”, which is something we have never done! We contemplated eating street food because there were plenty of stands offering local fare, but stumbled into a hotel restaurant on our walk back. Normally I shy away from hotel restaurants because they never seem to be that great, but our meals ended up being some of the most delicious and unique seafood dishes we’ve had in Italy. If you ever find yourself in Positano, the restaurant name is Al Palazzo, and I highly recommend the tuna steak!
