Laidback, sophisticated, contemporary: these are the words Simonetta Ravizza uses to describe their Italian luxury brand. I had my first experience with them when I attended their runway show during Milan Fashion Week in February, and I have to say it ended up being my favorite from the entire week. From the innovative interpretations of iconic fur pieces, to the upbeat music and sassy poses by the models on the catwalk, I loved every minute of the show.Simonetta Ravizza is known for their luxury fur designs, which was the theme for the entire Fall/Winter ’16 collection. Each look that went down the runway incorporated pelle in some way: a bow tie belt and fur-tipped slides completed nearly every look in the show, and many models donned a furry beret.
The mix of gray colors in this coat is just too gorgeous!Shearling not only appeared in the traditional form of a jacket, but also as a shift dress for a modern take. One of the accessories that received a lot of attention from the media was the unique ‘Furrissima’ handbag models toted down the runway (of which no two are alike!) Rest assured these furs are not like what your grandmother might wear–paired with flare leg pants and funky accessories, the vibe is decidedly fresh and modern. This leopard coat was easily one of my favorite pieces from the show, and I like how it was paired against a fresh white palette.Classic black and white was a theme which popped up throughout the collection–from stripes to polka dots, each jacket pattern was unique. To explore the world of Simonetta Ravizza, visit their website here.
