Hi everyone! My parents are off on their own doing some guided tours around Rome today, so I am catching up on work here at home. Looking back on these photos from last weekend makes me miss the beauty of Tuscany already–it was so refreshing to see the trees in spring bloom and enjoy the peaceful countryside around the B&B where we stayed.Even though it looks like spring in these photos, it definitely felt more like winter while we were there. I was glad that I decided to throw a few thick sweaters in my suitcase for the trip because that’s what I ended up reaching for every day (with a few additional layers!)When I’m not wearing something that’s high-waist to balance out the short length, I like to layer cropped sweaters over tunic-length tops, like this white button-down (mine is old, but I found a few similar options below). After we took these blog photos in the morning, we were hit with a torrential storm that began in the afternoon and lasted most of the day (and by torrential, I mean sheets of rain and hail!) It’s always a bummer when the weather is yucky on vacation, but after the rain stopped, I happened to look over and see this huge rainbow arching into the valley below our B&B. It was so near, that we could literally see the end beaming onto the ground–I have never been this close to a rainbow, but it was pretty amazing! In the end, even though it only lasted a few moments, the sight of this incredible beauty was worth enduring the storm.
