Happy Monday! I’m back from Milan Fashion Week and have so much to share over the next few weeks on the blog that I feel tired just thinking about it! Despite an exhausting five days, I had an amazing time, and all of the previews we saw have me looking forward to the next fall/winter season already. Out of all the shows I attended, I have to say the looks from the Les Copains runway were my favorite. Their beautiful blend of strong and feminine silhouettes definitely had a dreamy feel, but could easily be incorporated into your everyday wardrobe.
The primary color palette of the show was black, gray, and pale pink, but a few touches of green surfaced now and again (mainly in the form of plaid).
Innocent ruffled blouses were given a sensual vibe with the use of sheer fabric.
Cozy, oversized knits were the focus of the collection, and since there is nothing I love wearing more in fall and winter, they definitely grabbed my attention. The flared sleeves and blush pink color of this pullover are so romantic, while a bejeweled spider brooch adds an edgy touch. An oversized cherry print added a whimsical touch to blouses, sweaters, and skirts.High waist pants had an exaggerated wide leg–I particularly adored the bold leather pair!Masculine influences surfaced in the form of structured suit jackets, paired with lace and ruffles to soften the look.Furry textures continue to have a strong presence in next season’s outerwear.Another one of my favorites from the show: super long, soft-looking scarves–I need one of these beauties in my life!In a word, the Fall/Winter collection is bellissima.
