Hi everyone, and I hope all of you had a great weekend! On Saturday, we made another trip to the mountains of Abruzzo to fill up on spring water (more on this post), and this time we were prepared: we bottled almost 150 liters (about 40 gallons), which should last us at least two months. It took about an hour and a half to get to the spring and another hour to fill the bottles, but the beautiful drive through the countryside is always a nice little escape from the city. Before we headed back down, we drove further up the mountain road and pulled off for photos–the snowy woods were very cold (with the temperature about 30 degrees lower than Rome!), but made for a gorgeous background. I wanted to dress comfortably for our day trip, as well as the chilly weather, so I piled on the layers and topped everything off with my coziest coat-like cardigan.Sometimes I like adding a third layer to make my outfits more interesting, like this western denim shirt worn open over a basic tee.On our way back down the mountain, my husband pulled over to snap a few photos of this incredible view from the top. All of those little brown specks are the buildings that make up the town of Capistrello, which is actually where we drive through to get here!
