Things are getting a little crazy around here, but for all the best reasons. On Wednesday, we are heading to Milan for the Autumn/Winter ’16 fashion week, and this season will be especially exciting because my husband and I have received several invitations to attend runway shows. A few years ago, if someone told me I would be going to Milan Fashion Week now, I wouldn’t have believed it–this really is a dream come true, and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to go while we are living here. The icing on the cake is that just a few days after we return from Milan, my parents will be arriving for their first visit. They’ve never been to Italy, so we cannot wait to show them around!
A rich blend of textures–leather, wool, denim, and suede–came together to create this neutral-toned outfit I wore the other week. It’s just right for the mild winter weather we’ve been having, but I could definitely see myself wearing this in the fall, too.
We haven’t made any big plans for the weekend since there are lot of last-minute things to do before we head to Milan, with the most stressful–and time consuming–part being outfit planning. I started trying things on today and before I knew it, almost two hours had passed and our bedroom looked like a tornado hit it. At least I have some ideas now, though (and hopefully the weather will hold out this time–in September there was torrential rain!) I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for reading!
