Happy Monday and I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend! We had planned on heading out of the city for a snowy getaway but ended up staying in Rome after learning that, according to Italian law, we’re required to have tire chains in our car during the winter season in case of bad weather (especially when traveling in the mountains). That said, we’ll have to postpone our trip until we can track down some chains. Even though we didn’t make it to the mountains this weekend, we still got a good taste of cold winter weather. It even snow flurried for a few minutes, which is definitely a rare occurrence in Rome!Cold weather calls for thick sweaters, and this oversized turtleneck has been on repeat for me lately–seriously, I had to put it on a high shelf in my closet so I would stop wearing it so much, ha! Most of the time I’ll wear an oversized sweater with skinny jeans or leggings, but the hi-low hem on this one is also perfect for tucking into a skirt when I want to look a little more glam. These stiletto booties were one of my favorite finds from Saldi shopping the other week; I’m a sucker for any shoes by Stuart Weitzman (even more so when they’re 50% off!)Wishing all of you a wonderful start to the new week and if it’s a cold winter where you are, stay warm!
