One of our favorite things to do when we have free time is pick a place on the map, get in the car, and just drive around the Italian countryside. Since my husband had the day off earlier in the week for Rome’s Jubilee holiday, we decided to head northeast to the charming town of Turano. As I mentioned earlier this week, it looks more like October than December here in Italy with all of the fall foliage, and our drive to Turano was simply breathtaking. I don’t know how many times I said, “Oh my gosh, look!” to my husband as we made our way through the mountains!Quality luggage has become a must since I travel a lot more now, and the timing of this beautiful gift from Brahmin couldn’t have been better. Although our trip to Turano didn’t necessitate a weekend bag, I wanted to share with you the roomy interior and numerous organization features which make this tote ideal for travel. Inside, there is one large zip pocket, two small open pockets, a zip jewelry pocket, two penloops, and a keyclip. I was able to pack a change of clothes, boots, cosmetic bag, curling iron, and my iPad with space left for more (always a good thing!) The top of the bag also has a zip closure to secure all of your items inside. I have already used this bag once when we flew back to Italy from Virginia and it is within the size dimensions for a carry-on. Finally, I want to mention that there are metal feet on the bottom which help protect the leather. All of these features, combined with a stylish silhouette, make it one of the best travel bags out there (and certainly the prettiest duffel I have ever owned!)
This handsome little guy decided he wanted to be part of the photo shoot as well, and my husband, who loves cats, immediately got distracted when he walked onto the scene–ha!Looking out over Lago Turano, which was surrounded by autumn color, made for a gorgeous view. The lake is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike in the summer but was very peaceful now in the off-season.I love for everything to have a place in my bags and Brahmin is hands-down the best brand for their attention to detail when it comes to organization. I was delighted to discover that this tote has even more pockets than any of my other Brahmin bags, with some intended specifically for travel. On the outside front, you’ll find two separate open pockets, and on the back there is a place for your phone, as well as a large zippered pocket which easily holds a passport (with room to spare). We are thinking about taking another road trip this weekend, and if so, I’ll definitely be taking this tote with me again. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for reading!
