Happy Thursday! I wore this look yesterday in Milan to attend Escada’s press day for the unveiling of their Spring/Summer ’16 collection. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to walk through the showrooms and hear the stories about the inspiration and craftsmanship behind each creation–every design is truly a work of art. Be on the lookout for a blog post next week where I will share more about the event, including lots of photos of the gorgeous new pieces!Whether real or faux, nothing is warmer than fur when it comes to winter fashion. Since it isn’t terribly cold outside yet, I layered my vest over a sweater dress. This vest originally belonged to my husband’s grandmother and now it’s one of the most treasured items in my wardrobe.
When I want to feel chic for a special event, I tend to lean towards monochromatic palettes, with black typically being my color of choice. Black is also ideal for mixing high and low-budget items: even an inexpensive item of clothing can look luxurious if it’s paired with polished accessories.I just love all of the holiday decorations popping up around the city and look forward to seeing even more in the next few weeks. We’ve been asking our Italian friends where the best Christmas displays are and already have a list of must-see places. I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you so much for reading!
