Hi everyone–I hope all of you have had a great start to the week! I’m still feeling a little tired (actually more than yesterday–I think the jet lag has caught up with me) but I did manage to get all of my suitcases unpacked this afternoon. I’m usually the type that has to immediately unpack the minute I get home from a trip, while my husband tends to leave his suitcase unpacked for weeks, but he actually beat me to it this time. I’ll just blame it on the fact that I had a lot more stuff to put away (there is no such thing as ‘packing light’ when you’re a fashion blogger, ha!) That also doesn’t include all of the boxes en route here filled with assorted goodies we can’t live without in Italy, which we shipped over from the States.
My cape and poncho obsession continues with this cable style from SheIn (a steal at less than $30!) The material is very soft and the fit is oversized, making it the ideal layer to throw over a light sweater or turtleneck. The only drawback I would mention is that the turtleneck portion is a little long, but easily resolved by folding it in and over once.I took full advantage of my mom’s Brahmin handbag collection while I was visiting, and this snakeskin printed satchel is one of my favorites (you’ve probably seen it’s brown-hued sister on my blog many times!) The textured design may be more unexpected than your average handbag, but a beautiful blend of black and gray makes it the perfect finishing touch for neutral outfits.
